There is a recipe for white chocolate buttercream that calls for 4oz sugar, but does not specify confectioners. Could it be granulated? Pardon my ignorance...I'm a rookie.

Do you make a syrup with the sugar? If it's cooked, I'd say granulated. Generally confectioners sugar will be specified.

Seems that way. The recipe calls to whisk egg whites and sugar over a hot water bath until sugar is dissolved. So, do you think it granulated? Thanks so much for your help!

yep, I would say it is regular sugar. If confectioners sugar is needed it would state it.
