Have you noticed unless your subject line is catchy your question won't get answered?
Should we all start naming our subjects with brizella, you wouldn't believe this customer, Help, Urgent, my house is on fire, or some crazy saying so we can get an answer?
Using cc user subject (which was one of the dumbest threads ever, I am even more stupid after reading that) got 4733 views.
How do I color candy? 41
I do read most threads and where I can put my two cents in I do, catchy phrases I do look at first, cat fights will make me look at the site maybe two or three (o.k. until the darn thing ends).
Maybe while we are looking at the catchy phrases, we could maybe look at the other people who might need direction.
I hear you. I think the same way. Many times I don't have the time to read all the posts and just skim the lines. if they catch my eye then I read them. Sometimes the heading doesn't fit the question. HELP is always an eye catcher...at least for me it is... ![]()
I tend to read threads with titles that make it clear what the post is about. I am much more likely to read one that says "help with XX" (If I know about XX or want to know about XX) than one that says "Have you ever noticed" with no indication of WHAT they want to know about.
I think it is only common courtesy to include something informative in the subject. Granted, catchy but obscure titles might get the greater number of readers, if only because people have not clue whether they're interested or not, but I think useful titles are more likely to attract those who can actually help.
Of course, controversy always draws attention, sort of like a car accident. ;-P

The using CC members post was important to a lot of people. The how to color candy post I didn't open because I don't know how, haven't done it.
I do check the unanswered posts whenever I can and help out where possible even if its just giving the person a link.
