I have heard so many great things about Satin Ice. I have tried making the MMF once, and it was a disaster! So this time around I wanted to go with something pre-made and hassle-free and heard that this Satin Ice was the way to go. I was wondering does anyone have any feeling on which tastes better, and is easier to work with? I am tempted to try the MMF AGAIN, but am so traumatized from the first time around, i dont know if I can get up the nerveicon_smile.gif This is one of my first cakes, so I definetly a rookie at best... Any thoughts?

I would definitely give the SatinIce a try. I had the same thing happen when I tried the MMF, and I haven't tried it again since although I want to when I have time. I've used SatinIce a few times and i really like working with it. It's very plyable and easy to work with, highly recommended.

MMF tastes slightly better, but SatinIce is SO MUCH easier! I love working with SatinIce. My poor mixer and hands can't stand making MMF, especially for a wedding cake. It's too much.

I think Satin Ice has a more of a "refined" taste than MMF, I don't think it's quite as sugary tasting. Working with Satin Ice is great too...it is silky smooth!
