I want to make a yellow cake, starting with a mix, that has a hazelnut flavor incorporated. I've read a lot about using coffee creamers for flavoring, but I only have the POWDERED, not the liquid, on hand.

Can I use that? How much should I add to one cake mix?

Thanks!

You should be able to use that ok, just mix it in with the dry ingredients and add some extra liquid with the liquids. I would say about 1/8 c would be enough, then add about 2 more tbs of liquid.

Here's a thread about using coffeemate in cake batter:

Also includes recipes for using liquid and powdered creamer in batter and frosting.

2 TBSP of coffee creamer (powered) per cake mix.
