I'm trying to make burgundy. Used color chart off CC says 5 rose pink and 1 violet. I wondered, but thought ok I'll do it. It is a purply-pink color. I've added black, brown, red. It's now a dark, purply-pink color. What do I use to make burgundy?????

I don't know but I'll bump you up a bit.

Good luck!

This is purely speculation, but I think it might work. icon_confused.gif

I remember a while ago there was a post about adding violet to buttercream to take away the yellow tint from the butter, and it gave a pure white icing.

Since you have too much of the red and purple tones, maybe adding a bit of green and/or yellow (red is across the color wheel from green, and yellow is across from purple), it might help to tone down those colors.

If I were going to try this, I would try just a little bit before doing the whole batch, to see whether it will work . . .

Good luck!
Laura.
