This is the wedding cake I did this weekend and I will say I found a huge timesaver. I was able to order the gumpaste flowers premade and they arrived without a SINGLE ONE broken. All I had to do then was just paint and blush the orchids and make the large leaves that went behin the callas. I ordered them from cakedeco.com. HUGE selection of flowers and sprays and great customer service and shipping time (2 days).

tysmom-

The orchids are blushed using royal purple petal dust and then painted with a mixture of the petal dust, Wilton's violet icing color and vodka with a small brush.

Another good site to buy premade gumpaste flowers is www.discountflowers.com. I've ordered from them, they are fast and courteous.

I was looking for the high ratio shortening, and I couldn't find it anywhere around where I lived in Indiana. I happened to stumble across this place that's actually only a couple hours from me. I haven't looked at their pre-made flowers yet, but from what I have looked at, they have about everything you would ever need for cake decorating. Most at a really reasonable price too.
