Hi, Everyone,
I have a bride who wants 'funfetti' cake and frosting.
I have talked her our of funfetti icing and will add sprinkles to the top of the cakes after they are iced. However, I do not wish to buy and doctor Pillsbury cakes. I am thinking that I can add sprinkles to any light colored batter and will get 'funfetti'. Is this true? ![]()
That's so cool because you can cusomize the "confetti". If her colors are yellow & purple you could do just those colors mixed in the cake. That way, they know you don't use a mix AND you've make something super personalized just for her!
OMG! why didn't I think of that! I've just been using the multicolored ones. That's a great idea ![]()
Thanks for the input. My bride's colors are teal and burgundy--not sure that teal and burgundy spots would look very appetizing in the cake.
and what's wrong w/ a light blue/green and deep red on a white background.....
other than it might look more like a 4th of July cake!!!!!
(ok, my catty comment for the day!)
(where or where do these brides come up w/ these crazy color combinations?!?!?!? this is just one of several (like the brown and pastel orange????? ick!) i've seen lately!!)
just have to repeat after me:
it's all about her
it's her day
so, I'll do it her way
(but thinking --> OY!)
