I know they have presses for fondant. How about bc?

You can use the presses for buttercream. You just have to use a crusting bc recipe, once it's good and crusted, just carefully use the press. works like a charm!

I use the same ones for both fondant and bc. I also use patchwork cutters to emboss on bc. You just have to make sure your bc is very crusted.

I have a quilted pattern look in an impression mat... that is used.

Here's one that I did. The frosting is all bc. Hope you can see the pattern, I know it's a little dark. You can't see the sides, but the pattern is there too.

Here's a place that sells impression mats, embossers and the patchwork cutters so you can see what they look like. I've ordered from them lots of times.

I am not sure ... I know used for fondant and bc when it's not too tacky.... It does look pretty with a gumpaste pearl here and there in the joints....
