Last week I was having a problem with my cakes shedding their beautiful golden and smooth side and top crusts. I turned to CC for some advice and many of you mentioned a recipe on the site for "cake release". I whipped up a batch this morning to use for a chocolate chip pound cake and now I have my smooth sides back!!!! WOOOHOOOO!!! party.gifparty.gifparty.gif Ahhhhh, like I always say, it's the small things in life. So to my wonderful and supportive CCr's thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif , many thanks!!!

Thanks sweeteecakes!!! Quick question, do you store it in the cupboard?? There is nothing perishible so no need to refrigerate right??

Oh, I haven't used it yet. But when I read the recipe and directions it said that it did not need to be refrigerated, just kept in an airtight container. So that is how a plan to store it.
