I just made some calla lillies for a cake this weekend. (My first gumpaste flowers, not perfect, but they will do LOL!) Any way I put them on wires, but now what? I dont really know what to do LOL! Do I attach the wires together? How do I cover up bare spots, just with leaves or flowers? How do you attach this to the cake? If I make leaves, should I put these on wires too? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you attach the wires with floral tape. This makes it look like the stem. As far as the rest of the stuff, I'm not sure. I've never made a spray before. Maybe you can go to a site that sells flower sprays and see what theirs look like.

Here I is!!
Tape each wired stem with green floral tape. If you have never used it before, cut a small strip about 3" long, pull it from both ends to release the glue, attach at the top of the wire, just under the flower, wrap several times and then slide it up so it sits exactly under the flower. Now tape down the wire in a spiral motion, pulling the tape taut as you go. After they are all taped. Start with one flower, pointed end down, take two more flowers and place a bit behind the first one and on each side, Almost like a triangle. Tape those together with more floral tape, add one more in the center and back a bit, then two more, just like you did at the beginning. Hold them up and look at them as you tape and build the bouquet, you may want to add a few more here or there. The nice thing about doing wired flowers is that you can move and bend them to suit yourself.
