What type of cutouts are you using? When I use my cutouts, it usually results in a smooth edge. If I do have problems, I just using my finger and gently press to make it smooth.

I have been using those metal wilton cutouts, the ones in the leaf, square, circle shapes in 3 sizes and that wilton rolling fondant cutter. I guess using your finger would be the best way. Thanks

fallonb2000, this happens to me too. I hope there is a better way than using your finger because I have ragged edges on every one!! That could get a big time-consuming. Are you suppose to dip the cutters in corn starch or something?? Anyone???

You could always try dipping the cutouts in shortening, I bet that might work!

OR....maybe your fondant is too soft. Try putting it in the refridge or freezer for a few minutes to firm it up. Let me know if that works...
