I hope I don't sound like a dummy but how do I make a cake dummy or where do I purchase one I saw cakes made with dummies in the gallery oh and another thing what does it mean when you make a post and a reply says I'll give you a bump sorry if these questions are silly but the onlly way you learn is to ask thanks in advance for any replies. icon_redface.gif

I am not an expert on here but here is what i have learned from these wonderful people on CC

A dummy is a styrofoam wrapped in plastic so it can be used again. Some one correct me if I am wrong.

A bump is someone making sure your post stays on the top of the list so it will be seen by more people and hopefully you will get an answer.

Ask anything at anytime, chances are it was ask by someone else before or someone else is thinking it. I can't be alot of help on the cake dummy question. I made one out of styofoam and covered it with glad press and seal. I know you can buy them already made and I know there is a good cheap company for this I just forget who. I will do a search for you.

On the bump question- as more questions are posted yours gets farther and farther down the list. If someone replies to it it gets "bumped" back to the top and on the first page so more people see it and it is more likely to get someones attention.

Good morning, if you have a cake supply store near you they usually have the sterofoam for the cake dummies. I have never done one hopefully someone else can comment on that. When you post a thread and don't get a reply you can reply again to the same thread and just type in bump to put the post back to the top of the list, hope this helpsicon_smile.gif
