I need some help doing a teapot cake. I have a wondermold pan. Do I make two and put them together? Any advice or pictures would help.
Thanks.
I believe that most people use the ball pan & cut off part of the bottom so it will sit flat. I'm not sure if the wondermold would work. I think i've seen where they use the mini wondermolds for the cups.
I made a teapot cake about a month ago. I two pyrex/glass bowls and put them together. The hardest part for me was the spout and handle. I tried making them with sugar cookies but they wouldn't stay up and broke. So , I cut them out of cardboard and iced them like the rest of the cake. I have a picture of it in my photos...please use it as a guide...it was my first attempt at fondant and I was also in a hurrry....hope this helps. Also here are some websites that might help:

You can use the wonder mold. You just get a taller more coffe pot type look. Just bake one of them.
Type "tea pot" in the search window here on the upper right hand
corner. You'll see another page that list Gallaries as an option. Click on that and you'll get a whole page or two of just tea pots from cc members.
I'm sure there is one in there with the wonder mold...I saw it myself.

elvis, I really like the way your teapot turned out. I'll have to try that. I've been looking for some ways to use my wondermold besides doll cakes.
Thanks everyone. Still looking for more pictures.
Thank you ~ I have made quite a few of them now! They are not real diffficult to do. The hardest part is making the spout and the handle (free forming out of gumpaste or fondant) Making sure they are not too big ~ and getting them dry before putting the cake together.
I have made a couple of royal Albert teapots using a 6inch petal shaped pan and a 6inch round pan stacked and carved a little.
I covered the cakes with fondant and painted little flowers in blues and purples to resemble the Memory Lane pattern of the Royal Albert china set.
There area a few photo's in my album.
