I am thinking of using the Chocolate Syrup Frosting from the recipe section and wondered if anyone has used it and if so, is it thick enough for piping?? It's from the Cupcake Doctor Book.....TIA

I have tried it and it is good and rich. You may want to add some more milk and careful on measuring your powdered sugar. I used the wrong measuring cup and I don't have a scale so that's why I had to add more PS. It "dries" quick and you can pipe with it. thumbs_up.gif

Thanks for the info. It sounds really good with the chocolate syrup addition. I'm going to try it.

I have used the one out of the Cake Doctor book (not sure if it is the same one) and it wasn't thick enough to pipe. I played around with ingredient amts and made it thicker so I could pipe. Piped well.

Just wanted to update and post my results with this frosting. Boy!!! It is really good. I used whipping cream instead of milk and added a little extra powdered sugar. It piped very easily and tastes fantastic. I highly recommend. It's not a real stiff icing, but it does set up.
