I'm planning on using fresh strawberries dipped in chocolate to garnish a cake. Does anyone have a good suggestion for a chocolate dip for strawberries. I thought about using a Granache, but wasnt 100% sure it would be okay.

When I made these I used the light chocolate disk by wiltons with a little shortening to thin it down and that worked out perfect. Everyone loved them too bad I didn't have enough They all said they were teasers (one per person)

I also use wilton's chocolate melts for chocolate covered strawberries. I have never added shortening... so i'm very interested about that. How, when and how much?! (i have a pic i did recently all choco cake w/strawberries, check out my photos)

thanks!
