I don't know what is going on with getting my cake out of the pan. I make two 9" round layers which came out fine after letting them cool for 10min in the pan then fliping onto the cooling racks. My third layer, though, was still stuck after 15min and I kind of jiggled it to get it out and it was a mess (I can't use it for the cake, but it's been yummy to snack on). So now I am waiting to get the last layer out of the pan, it has been 15min and it still won't come out like the first two. Maybe I didn't put enough cake release in the pan, but can it still come out nicely? What is going on? Please help.

Well, I guess no one has any suggestions. I am so nervous now, this is for my grandfather's 60th birthday tonight, and I wanted to make something great especialy since I took a leap of faith and left my corporate job on Monday to concentrate on cakes.

try popping it in the freezer......that will make the cake contract some......and it will also make it sturdier so you can try to pry it up without worrying about breaking it.
