I have no clue how to go about this and this is going to sound like a stupid question to you. I just bought springform pans the other day for cheesecakes. If someone is buying one from me, how do I give it to them? I don't want to give people the bottom of my pan. Should the cheesecake slide off the bottom of the springform onto a cardboard round or is there an easier way?

That's what I would do -- slide it off the bottom of your pan onto a cake board.

I put parchment paper on the bottom, cut to fit, then slide onto a cake board- it works wonderfully!

I do exactly as Kellym does and it works just fine. I bought thise stupid little cheesecake pans from King Arthur and you can't do it with them. Making mini ones in muffin tins you can just use the muffin papers. Works great.

Thank you guys!! I was afraid that the cake wouldn't be stable enough to slide off. I like the parchment paper idea. I don't know what I would do without all of you!!!!!! I've learned sooooo much since being on here!!!!! thumbs_up.gificon_biggrin.gif THANK YOU ALL!!!!!
