Where Would I Find Fondant Crimpers?? And How Do You Do It?

Does anyone know where I would find fondant crimpers? Does anyone know how to crimp fondant?

I use an elastic band around the front end, this helps to control the size it opens and ensures it is the same size opening each time,

just put it on the fondant, pinch and let it open, repeat.
The 21st cake in my photos has crimping on the sides

My crimpers came with rubber bands on them. They are very easy to use. I have a couple of cakes in my photos, my christmas cake & the pale yellow easter cake. I love crimpers. Just pinch the fondant evenly & make sure you do it while the fondant is still soft, if I am going to crimp, it is the first thing I do after putting the fondant on the cake.

Thanks for this thread! I've seen crimpers in catalogues, but I didn't know exactly what they were used for. Now I'm intrigued! (Great - something else to add to my wish list... icon_rolleyes.gif )
