So I said I would do a cake for an Auction. It is for the 36th annual Great TV Auction that they do on PBS. I need some ideas on what to do. It has to feed a ton of people. ANy ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Is it for the people who are working at the auction to eat ... or are they auctioning it off? (you said it needs to feed a ton of people.)

Well, most of them are volunteers, so something along a thank you theme would be appropriate.

I can't think of any cake decorating ideas, but how about something with the theme "without you guys, this auction wouldn't be possible."

As far as decorating, you can do the PBS logo and Sesame Street sign, the logo from Nova, and a Henry VIII hat, little things that represent the shows. And don't forget Miss Julia The French Chef (RIP).

Does the auction have one of those goal "thermometers"? If so, you could make a number 1 "thermometer" and some writing that says "you are the #1 supporters!"
