What Is Wrong With Me Lately???

It seems that my cakes are just getting more and more amateurish the more I do 
! It's no wonder I can't get any business - I wouldn't want my cakes either! Perhaps it's time to take a step back for a while, or at least until I get my next paying order! Here's the latest bad job, my filling (strawberry pudding - first and last time I'm using pudding as a filling!), has started to leak out - I dammed it really well too! It's hot here today, so maybe that's not helping. Thankfully this is just a cake for the in-laws, my other half is going there for dinner tomorrow, although I'm a bit embarrased to send this

I did a cake the other day which was so awful, I didn't even post a picture, it was that bad - sigh!

If this is what you call amateurish, then I think that I need to consider quitting the decorating altogether!! I think that you did a great job on this cake!!

I think your cake looks very good, we all seem to be really hard on our self here at CakeCentral. I think we all need to take a step back and really look at what we create everytime we make a cake. It puts a smile on the face of the person you give it to, and gives them a happy belly!
please don't give up, your cakes are way to pretty for you to do that!

It sounds to me like you're getting a little burnt out. You're cakes are definetly something you should be proud of, they look great! Give yourself a break, take a breather, you'll feel much better about yourself and your cakes.
I agree, I think you are being too hard on yourself, it is a lovely cake and I would love to have a piece right now myself!
If that is awful, I want to be that awful!!! Its beautiful. Take a break from beating yourself up. YOu do great work. Like everyone else has said, we are our own worst critics. Hang in there, take a deep breath and have fun with it!
