I have a wedding cake due in August. The bride wants gum paste or fondant hydrangeas. Does anyone have any how-to's on this??? I told her I have never done these before and we might have to end up buying them pre-made. She is willing to do this, however, I really want to make them myself! I have searched this site to no avail. I would love to learn but no classes nearby. Can anyone help?!? icon_confused.gif

I have a picture of gumpaste hydrangea in my photos. I used cutters and veiners from Scott Clark Woolley. His website is www.cakesbydesign.cc. Any cutters you purchase come with instructions. HTH

Your hydranges are beautiful! That is the exact color the bride wants. Thanks for the info!

Vivki-

Interesting you say that. I ordered a set of cutters and a veiner for Anthuriums from him for a wedding cake I was doing, and was surprised when I did not recieve instructions. I e-mailed them asking if they had them and I was told that he does NOT send out instructions with his cutters and that if I needed them, I needed to buy an autographed copy of his book at 25.00 since Amazon.com was out of stock on them....and they only charged 14.95 for them. Consequently I have contacted the couple and they changed the flower for the wedding cake.
