I have an order for a Spaghetti and meatballs cake for tomorrow night. My hubby thinks that it would taste bad with the strawberry preserves as the sauce. Has anyone who has actually made one of these tell me about the taste? Should I used colored piping gel instead? I think it would taste no different than having a strawberry filling, except it would be on top instead of inside. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks!

I used strawberry preserves on mine and my family loved it. You could try the strawberry "Gel" you can buy in a store for making strawberry pie. That's yummy too! Good luck!
