My daughter's youth group (church) is having an event and I've been asked to make the cake. They will be serving 60, yes 60.. lol. Needless to say, I've never made a cake to serve that many and I need your help. Does anyone have any ideas? (no theme yet) Any help/suggestions you can give is Very appreciated!

How about 2 large sheet cakes, or a stacked cake?

If you look on Earlene's cakes website(I just looked in my browser for it), she has a great chart that shows the number of servings that you can get from each pan. That way you can get and idea of what size cakes you will need to make. Other than that, I guess you just need to plan around what the theme will be. Have you considered cupcake cakes? They are really neat. I haven't done one yet, but I would think a youth group would like it. Good Luck!!

Cupcakes are the way to go!!! you don't have to stand around cutting up the cake!!

I have a few pictures of cupcake towers in my photos!
