My dh bought me a convection microwave oven. My question is can I bake with it? my MIL has one and makes everything in it ( including christmas dinner icon_mad.gif ) I don't like the way her things taste but I don't know if that is because she can't cook or if it's because it's a microwave. Any help would be appriciated. TIA

Good question! My microwave has a convection option as well, but I haven't had the nerve to test it out on meat or cakes. icon_smile.gif My regular oven has a convection setting on it, though, and that's what I use for all my cakes. Maybe I'll test out a small cake tonight and see what happens.

I'm curious to see what others have to say.

well, i use my convection setting on the micro for frozen foods that normally get soggy in the micro and it works well for that. I have made cookies (just the refrigderated kind) just to try it out and it worked fine for that. I like having that feature cause if i have the large oven tied up then i can get supper done in that.
