Today I made a 9x13 and everything seemed to go normal. Checked with a toothpick and everything came out clean. I flipped it out on a board to let it cool, went to the pool, and then came back. The middle was sinking like the titanic! I felt it, and it was sticky. Soo..I decided to put it back in the oven... One little spot will not bake! UGH! Now im worried that the rest will be dry.. Can I put something on it(such as butter and flavoring melted) or what can I do?!?! Thanks!
Do you use a heating core or flower nail? That would have helped with the spot not baking.
Warning! Stupid question: What would the nail flower do?
If this cake isn't supposed to be covered with fondant, you can stab little holes in the cake with a fork, and then put a jello mix into it: 2 cups boiling water to a packet of jell-o. Pour it into each of the little holes and also around the sides, then let it sit in the fridge for a few hours and it becomes a jello cake. The only warning: it's a little hard to ice. So, if you're trying to frost it, you'll need plenty of bc icing. It sure does taste great, though, and kids love it!
Good luck!
