Ok guys heres my first pricing question. ive done pretty good so far. I just got asked to do a carrot cake. I went through my excell pricing sheet and came up with a x3 cost with and without icing (cream cheese or regular). Let me know what you think.
$20 for an 8x8 with either cream cheese or regular frosting
$15 for an 8x8 without frosting.
I would say $25. Pricing without frosting I would not do. I'd hate to think that someone took it home, frosted it, said it came from me and their frosting wasn't up to my standards. Just my opinion...
If thats what your ingredients cost and you are comfortable doing it at that price then go for it. I certainly don't think it is too high. I am a little confused by you sizes though, are you baking squares? Or just 8" rounds?
Me, I have figured out the prices I want for different sizes (an 8" round is $3
and I don't charge any differently for different flavors.
