How Much Cake Batter?

How many cake mixes do you need for the 12 x 2 square? I have a graduation cake for this weekend. I am using the cake mix extender recipe from this site.

The Wilton website says 10 cups of batter for one layer.

I keep the following webpage book marked. At the bottom are links to 2" and 3" pans with servings for wedding and party. It has a list of all the wilton pans (no characters) With amount of batter, icing, baketime, servings, etc.... It is in my favorites so i always have easy access to it.
