I am making a birthday cake for my niece this week, her request is a pink cake, and the party is a dog theme. I was thinking about a simple round with a fondant dog with a birthday hat and balloons, wanted to see if anyone has instructions or know of a website with instructions how to make a dog. I would assume I could find it on a clay sculpting site, but cannot seem to find one. I'm looking for a cartoon like dog, not a replica of a particular breed.

Thanks! icon_biggrin.gif

I used the link you posted as my guide, just made a couple minor changes. I had a couple issues with the cake, frosted the top then realized I forgot to put the filling in. It was a bit messy, but turned out ok. thumbs_up.gif

It's flawless.........you did an awesome job.........I was too late LOL I was going to suggest you pick up a polymer clay book......they have awesome instructions you can follow just using the fondant instead of clay.
