18" X 2" Round Pan

does anyone know how many cups of batter it takes for a 18" x 2" round pan. I checked this sites chart and wiltons but they don't go up that large.Thanks

Wow that's a big round! I'd say between 18-20 cups or add until your pan is about 2/3 full. You're right, the wilton book I have only goes up to 16" but after averaging it out, this is what I came up with. HTH!

a 18" x 2" half round takes 9 cups of batter for one layer, so i think it would be 18. Good luck!

You can also fill up your pan with water. Dump it out into measuring cups and see how much the pan holds. Then divide that number in two. That will give you the cups of batter you need to fill the pan half way. You could adjust that number up if you like your cakes to come up over the top. The water method is great for shaped and character pans too.
