Thanks Karen, I may have an order for 75 cupcakes and was going to charge 75.00 dollars but was afraid that was to much and have put off calling the lady with the price, but I think I will call her with this price, after all she can always say thats to much and go somewhere else. Thanks I will try all the hints you mentioned and see how it worksicon_smile.gif

Alright...i e-mailed the customers back and told them I charge 1.50-2.00 per cupcake depending on if they were filled and the decorations. Whew! I haven't heard from any of them yet but I feel good about that price thanks to everyone here. thumbs_up.gif I have been told by many customers that i need to charge more for my cakes. It is just an area I don't have the confidence yet icon_redface.gif But I think I have to bite the bullet and up the ante if I want to keep doing this and make it worth my time and my family's time! My husband and my two boys are very supportive but it does add stress and takes time away from them. Sorry this is so long! Thanks again!

i totally agree..... you wont know until you put it out there and if yo do put it out there i think the clients will shift from the cheap shoppers to the ones that really want something special and know they are getting something special and that makes it better to work with.......
i wish you luck on your orders

Well I called the lady on the cupcakes this morning and told her 75.00 dollars for 75 cupcakes, I figured what the hey if she wants them fine and if not thats okay to. So about an hour or so later she calls back and says okay, I was in shock because she acted a little strange over the phone when I gave her the price. So now I will have enough time to do a practice run on a few, she wants white cupcakes with white bc and the letter W standing up on them, so I am trying to decide which would be better to use candy melts or royal icing. I'm not crazy about royal icing have only made it one time and it was a disaster got it to thin so I give up on it and never made it anymore. Thanks for listeningicon_smile.gif

Congrats on getting the price you want for your cupcakes. I'd love to see how they turn out.
