My name is Sadie. I was just directed to this site by someone at another forum where I was showing off my girls birthday cakes 
I'm really wanting to do more and more, especially now that I've discovered fondant. I don't know all the tips and tricks yet, but I'm a quick learner
I never knew I wanted to do something like this, and my hubby blames it on watching too much FoodNetwork, but I had to this year...I have two little ones that are 1 year and 2 days apart in age and just turned 1 & 2. I've always done character-pan cakes for bdays (I have 3 kids, the two girls and an older son, age 9), but with two parties very close, I wanted two very different cakes. Sooo, I turned out these two...

Because of that, I've become obsessed with learning better techniques and tips and tricks...so I was thrilled when my friend gave me this URL!! And seeing how friendly everyone seems made me had to bring myself into the forums!! It's nice to meet you all!! I hope to get to know you better soon!!

Nice cakes...good job on your first fondant. I rarely use anything else. If you haven't tried MMF yet you have to give it a go. It's great.

Hi and welcome aboard to our obsession lol your cakes are very nice and I'm sure your daughters loved them. I'm on here several times a day and dont know what I would do without my computer (which by the way is sooooo old I swear it was found at an archaological dig) lol I just thank god my dh is a computer wiz and keeps me up and running because I swear I would go into withdrawal and need a shrink if I couldnt get into CC at least a couple of times a day

Get rid of a little white powder on it and you are sailing!
*G* I did just that before the party. Unfortunately there was some BC stuck on there as well because of a few mishaps with the bow, but all the powder came off and I was thrilled!!
