I have never made a mothers day cake for my mom before and thought I would give it a try this year. I am going to try new recipe/techniques etc on it, she loves being my guinea pig. Going to do a 6 inch, pink champagne cake with the crusting cream cheese BC from the recipes, both new for me. Want to try the Marthas Basketweave and do lots of different flowers, most all from royal, I need the practice. My mom is in Phoenix and getting me the Stepsaver rose maker from wilton, can't find it around here, want to try it to do roses becus mine suck. Anyone else use the stepsaver rose maker? Also went out and bought vellum scrapbook paper to cover the board with, have been a boring foil person up til now.
