I was just wondering, can HK be melted to be used as a chocolate coating? Microwave or double-boiler? Anything else to be added?

Seems like an awful lot of work, having to unwrap them. I think they're like chocolate chips in that they've been formulated so they retain their shape when heated. You might need to add a drop of oil or Crisco.

The only reason I was asking this is that is all I have at home right now and I'm itching to experiement....Of course, when I get finished here on CC.

I also don't think they will set back up again as well as melts. They are softer to begin with and not formulated to be reheated.

I have used them with some success. It is a pain to unwrap all those but they do work and do taste good. But a warning they can burn if you dont watch what you are doing.
