I need to find a Yorkie breeder someone reputable...If you know of anybody please help, I know that for these dogs you have to put your name on a list and this is Christmas (yes I said Christmas ALREADY) for the kids. I start early, but for this I think I will need to put my name in around July.

This is the site for my in-laws kennel. They haven't done a lot with their website recently since they found another venue to advertise, but it has contact info, etc.
I use to breed a Yorkie. I quit because I almost lost her in her last litter. Let me state that AKC does not recognize Teacup Yorkies. They are already a miniture breed and there is nothing on the Yorkies to state teacup. The only ones that call them teacup are breeders trying to get a higher price. They can not guarantee their teacup size. I have a 5 lb female and she usually has puppies that are in the same range of 5 lb when fully grown. She did have one puppy that stayed 2 lbs. I kept him as my own because of all the medical problems associated with very tiny dogs. Yes, they tend to have more medical problems than dogs 5 lbs or larger. You can pm me and I can explain more on the medical problems they tend to have. If you are trying to find a breeder in your area I would suggest two things. Call your local Vetinaries. They would know the breeder and who is expecting litters and if they take good care of the parents. They can put you in touch with them. Puppy mills tend to vacinate their own litters and rarely use vets. Try to visit the site and look at both parents if possible. I inherited a puppy from a breeder that claimed to have a blue yorkie and it was suppose to be a small yorkie. She also charged $100 more for this dog because it was blue. The dog was given to me because the lady that bought it said it barked to much and she did not want it any more. The dog turned out to be 12 lbs full grown. It was in no way ever going to be a small dog. The size of the head and the amount of hair on this dog was twice as big as the female I bought a month earlier. They came from the same breeder. The 12 lb yorkie is not overweight. I have had three different vets examine him and they all said that he is an old fashion yorkie, bigger boned. I would not give him up for anything. His size does not bother me and he is actually a healthier dog. Another option for you to find puppies would be AKC website. You can locate a breeder through them. I you buy a yorkie that is CKC, it means you have a dog that might be pure bred or it might be a mixed yorkie. It all depends on what you want to do with the dog. Is it a pet or a breeder? Good Luck!
Im in Breckinridge Co. I am looking for places so around July I can put my name in for one in for Christmas
I don'tthink they're teacup yorkies, but I'm not 100% sure on that......this is the first litter they've raised.....I'm not sure on how many more litters they'll be raising/wanting to raise. I THINK they are pretty interested in it though.
But........I'm not really sure where Breckenridge Co. is, but they actually live in Mason Co...so that might be too far of a distance anyway.
Oh well...just trying to help.
Good Luck in your search...they're a very pretty dog!
mmdd thank you for all the help..No that isn't to far, we were gonna travel to the surrounding states if we had to just not REAL far. ![]()
Dldbrou we used to have a yorkie that never got up past 3 pds she was 14 years old when she died...my kids are now responsible enough to have one and the breeder who we got lollypop from (my yorkies name) only breeds every other season. She is the president of the yorkie AkC something here in Kentucky. She told me she would put me on the list for a Yorkie but heres the thing..this is a Christmas gift...and what if I can't find one???? So far 2 people told me they would call me if their dogs bred in early August, that way the puppies would be ready to go by Christmas. No we aren't going to breed her, we just want a family pet. We do however want a female just because I have never had a male dog and really don't want one.
Thank you all for being so helpful...Maybe our puppy is going to be in the making ![]()
