First let me introduce myself....
I am VERY new to cake decorating. I just started when a friend of mine wanted me to take the Wilton I class at our local hobby store. Now, I am taking Wilton II.... These are the first cakes I have EVER made. I find it very addicting.
Now to my question. Like I said I am in class 2 and this week is our last class. I have decided to redo all my royal icing decorations because I feel I have gotten much better. So I did not have an Color Flow mix, and went to the hobby store to get some more. Well, I got disctracted and bought a bunch of stuff I don't really need and forgot the Color Flow mix. So my question is what exactly does the color flow mix do? Will my royal icing birds survive with out it?
By the way this site has been a wonderful resource..... Thanks everyone!
Hi,
Welcome to cc, I really enjoy it and love the fact that we can get help for just about any decorating question possible.
Anyhow, I took the same courses, but I just wanted to let you know that "royal icing" is what you use for your flowers and "color flow" is what you use for your birds. I don't think that you should put them together.
Check with your teacher to be sure.
Good luck...looking forward to seeing your cake pic's !
