Opinions---Single Layer Sheet- Do You Do 2X2.5" Party S

What do you consider a good size "party" slice for a single layer (2") sheet cake? I'm trying to compute a serving chart for my customers.
For double layer, I base it on a 2x2" slice. Does a 2x2.5 slice sound about right for a single layer...or do you do 2x3"? I've only recently offered the single layer and so don't have much experience with what works best. Thanks!!
I would call both of those a single layer because only one cake was used. I've only done sheet cakes as "cake on a board with icing on top" (I like that description!
).
If I got a request for a torted sheet cake, I would describe it as "single layer, torted".
Thanks, Indydebi! Do you mean you don't ever fill your sheets?
Would you charge more if it is torted? Sorry Elvis I guess I am attempting to hijack! But I have always wondered about pricing cakes for parties different from weddings!? What do people do!
My single layer cakes are like you described...cake on a board with frosting.
I bake two cakes separately and stack them with a filling in between when I say double layer. This is easier for me than torting.
BUT..if I ever did decide to torte a single layer, I would definitely charge more b/c of the extra time involved and the additional filling.
I recently made a single layer (but torted with filling) cake (11x15) for a party and I based my slices on 2x2 pieces. I was at the party and was asked to cut the cake and this size was perfect.
My double layer cakes (torted as well about 4" tall) I base on 1 1/2 x 1" slices.
