Are you wondering if the cake will make it? I wouldn't want to transport a stacked cake that far, especially when I'm sure the weather is going to be warm! A tiered cake wouldn't bother me, though. That can be assembled on-site. Are they doing the transporting, or are they asking you to do it? If you're doing it, I'd charge a HUGE delivery fee!

Me - I would do it but I would make sure they know that you are not responsible once it leaves your door. Would it be possible to freeze the whole thing and let it thaw out in the car? Or maybe you could make one of those car cake coolers for em.

I would NOT let them do that! icon_surprised.gif
Maybe you can do the cake cooler thing but send it to their hotel or place they will be staying. The desert and mountains can be hellatious and HOT! Almost 100degrees! I would definetly make a clause saying you are not responsible if you do decide to let them take the cake in the car.

Do they seem like responsible people. I would let them take it unassembled and individually boxed. Let them stack it where they are. I would make sure they sign a waiver and know that it has to be on a flat surface (not the back seat) and that once it leaves your house you are not responsible for anything. (anyone becoming sick, or condition the cake arrives) OR charge a heck of a delivery fee.

What is a cake cooler????
