Hi folks,

Sorry that I ask a lot of questions but I need help once again. I am making a cake that is going to look like a shoebox. I'm thinking of making everything with b/c with the exception of the lid which I'm going to attempt to make with fondant. So here's the question....anybody know how to do that? Would I just lay the fondant on top and trim the sides to look like a lid? I can't wrap my mind around how to do this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much in advance! thumbs_up.gif

Measure the cake/ box part. Make a fondant rectangleone inch larger than the box. It the box is 8x12 make the fondant 9x 13 etc. On each corner cut in one inch. Layer the fondant and attach the cuts to give it the nice sharp corners you are looking for.

I hope this helps, it is so hard to explain yourself on projects like this.
