I wish I had a wedding cake to do. I am just dying to make one. I did make a birthday cake tonight. I just got in some cake dummies and I am going to make several wedding cakes just so I can take some pictures and put them on my web site to see if I can get some wedding cake orders.

moydear,
is there any special reason you are staying away from wedding cakes?? I am just getting started and looking into a place to rent and was wondering if you know something I don't!!!! Besides dealing with the occasional Bridezilla!!

Have a week off to go to my daughter's graduation from college....then my other daughter's wedding cake to do on the 26th of May. I don't even want to think about JUNE!!! YIKES!

Well it is just what I prefer. I can work on a cake for days and just come back to it. Most of the work is done in advance. Less stress!

Most of the three tiered cakes I do run about $135.00 and up!

I have one to do next Thursday (Wedding Saturday 28th) my first wedding ever! Actually I'm a lot less stressed than I usually am with kids cakes...I think there is a ton less work in some wedding cakes. Or maybe I'm naive because I've never done one!?!?? Anyway the one I am making is only one layer, choc mud with two hearts - pink and red - on top. She pretty much left everything up to me so I'm very excited!

Well I work in a full bakery so someone else bakes and other people fill em for me. Then I take over by icing them, fondanting them and all other decorations. I gets pretty hard when you do it by yourself and you have like 7 of em all on one day. Its nuts....totally nuts at times.
