It may not be cold enough to store it. I would also worry about animals eating it.....maybe you have a friend who has room???

Gosh, I don't know for sure. Guess it would depend on the amount of bugs and other four legged night visitors you may or may not have. My garage is very clean but I would be afraid of ants coming in under the garage door once they got a whiff of my cake! Even boxed well they would get to it where I live!! &*^$%^ things!

Sorry you are having this problem and hope someone can help you out!

I've always put extra food in the garage when having holiday dinners. You don't say where you're from. I live in MI right not our days are warm but the nights are cold.

This might sound a little off the wall, but what about making a makeshift swamp cooler on one corner of your counter. Get a small fan that will sit on the counter, place a pan of ice in front of the fan. If the cake is sitting in a corner then the iced air should flow around the cake. does that make any sense. Does the brides venue have a walk in fridge that you could take it to in the morning?

What a dilemma! If you don't know anyone in the resteraunt business who could help you out, then I'd be emptying my refrig. of its contents, taking that to my neighbors in smaller boxes, and putting the cake in my ref. Good luck! icon_redface.gif

Maybe there is a way to set something up using dry ice, you can get that at the grocery store.

When I've run out of fridge space, and it's cold at night, I put it in an extra room with the windows open (and door closed).

My cake is too wide to fit in the fridge without scraping the sides. My turntable is metal so for the moment I'm going to pack it with ice and see if I can come across some dry ice and the fan. I will definately see if I can bring it to the reception site first thing in the Am and store it there. Thanks for the suggestions, this whole cake has been a total nightmare

Is it going to be colder than 48-50 OUTSIDE where you live? If so, I've used my CAR before. No critters can get in and I wrap my cakes well and put them in the back seat!

For MY holiday dinners (since I don't have a garage) I ALWAYS use the backseat of my car! LOL It sure does smell good come Thanksgiving and Christmas!
