How do I store buttercream roses (and flowers) that won't be used for a week? Do I refrigerate them, and, if so, do I let them come to room temp before I use them? Please help! Thanks.

This is what I do if I have to make them ahead of time.
Freeze them solid on a sheet tray. After they are frozen, transfer in a single layer to shallow plastic containers with airtight lids and store in the freezer. No need to thaw them. Place them on the cake while they are still frozen.
