I need help to find out what went wrong with my sponge cake.
I use standard 4-egg sponge cake recipe.
Problem :
1. the cake didnt raise at all
2. it was okay when it first came out from the oven and 5 minutes later, the top part of the cake shrunk.
So now the bottom part is larger.
I don't know where you got the recipe from, but I recently made one, too. I had the same problems you had. Fortunately for me, I had not been planning on eating the cake, just practicing with it. I had to prop mine up with Lincoln Logs to get the height needed for the cake
