Burgundy Colored Cake

How do I get a deep rich red burgundy colored icing.
I have tried americolor with black and it turns a deep purple. I tried marbeling and it turns pink. Any suggestions please. Bride wants this color for her wedding cake.

When I made a burgundy for a wedding cake (find in my photos to see if its the color you need.) I had to use black and red and purple. (Wilton)

I have a burgundy tint by Wilton. I used it on my mini Christmas cakes if you want to check those as well. (last photo on the bottom left in my album). I just had to use quite a bit of tint to achieve the darker color. It's on the mini Christmas cakes that are iced chocolate. (I added edible sparkles on these particular burgundy roses).

I made the burgandy for TX A&M the other day and I used the Americolor burgandy then added black and red - the color came out great but I had added so much of the burgandy it had a little bit of a bitter taste to it. icon_cry.gif
