Cream Cheese Icing Need Refridgeration????

I use cream cheese icing all of the time. I do not refrigerate it. I use it and let the cakes sit out all day long. Of course they don't last long enough to worry about spoilage.
Once the cakes are iced I leave them out. If they are going to be used the next day, I will cover them with saran wrap and place them in the fridge overnight. I pull them a couple of hours before serving to get the icing to soften up a little.
Whether or not a cream cheese based frosting requires refrigeration depends on the amount of sugar/fat in the recipe.
