Not long. Once the levening agent in a batter gets wet it begins to make it's bubbles and if it's not baked, it won't rise as well.

I read in another post that it's not a good idea to let it sit out at all. Something about the dry ingredients gets together with the wet ingredients it's starts to do something and if it's set out after mixing then it will not rise good and will not be fluffy. So, I wouldn't do it. ~Josie ![]()
