Help I need some ideas.....I am new to cake decorating and to this website (which I think is very cool). A friend has asked for me to make her husband's 50th birthday cake. She wants to incorporate tools because he likes to fix things. I have a chocolate tool set mold that I am planning on using - but does anyone have ideas for nifty sayings or use of the tools....This is probably going on a 9 inch 2 layer round cake............

Thanks. Kathryn

Welcome! I know you will love it here. I don't know if this will help or if you use much fondant but I did a tool belt cake for a going away party - it is in my photos.

You could say something like "working on the next 50 years".

Thanks for the ideas. I think I am going to try and put a tool belt around the cake - is there a good way to keep it in place besides BC or piping gel. I was thinking about tooth picks. I have visions of a tool belt sliding down my cake icon_eek.gif !
I love the saying I think I might have to borrow that one . Thanks for the help.
