What Would You Charge For This Cake?

Client found this cake idea from http://www.lizzyp.com totally cute website! The one I am making will be similar:

top 3 tiers are 4" square
4th tier is 6"
bottom tier is 8"

All cakes will be baked from scratch (3 different flavours and fillings), decorated in buttercream with fondant accents (letters and shapes).

I am charging (in Canadian Dollars) $40 for the 3 top tier; $20 for the 6" and $30 for the 8" = $90. Would you say that is fair or too much?

cupcakequeen, sorry for sounding dumb but what is the currency conversion to U.S. Dollars. I would probably charge about $60.00 U.S. Cute cake.

Not much difference anymore!

$60 US would come to about $67-68 CAD.

I also forgot to mention this includes delivery and set up.

With setup and delivery, I would probably charge anywhere from $70-$75 just because the cake sizes are small but I still think that your price is a very fair one considering that it will take quite a bit of time to make sure that the cake is setup properly so that it doesn't tip over and fall.

What a cute cake! I'd prolly charge about $75 for it if you are delivering it then 90 would be ok too!!

im sorry i think that is very cheep....


i would charge for
3-4"
1-6"
1-8"
fillings
delivery and set-up at least $150.

i think your price is more than fair for the amout that you are giving.

I was thinking around $120 U.S. Maybe another$30 for delivery/set-up. Look at gas prices!!

I thought it was pretty fair...infact I told her that it was as low as I could go for a 5 tier cake.

I guess I was just double guessing myself! Thanks for all your input!
