I am going to be doing a 2-mix Book Cake, but after the cake is done do I slide it in half then I fill it in w/strawberry & glaze or do I bake another one & just fill in in between? Please HELP? Very cluless. icon_confused.gificon_confused.gif

If the top of the cake is scultped, I don't think it would work to stack two of them on top of each other. Depending on how big the cake is, I would just torte it (slice horizontally in half) and fill it. If it's rather large though (since it takes two cake mixes), you may need some help taking off the top and putting it back on without it cracking. Also, with the filling, remember to use an icing dam. HTH

I usually just torte it and fill it no problem. Just make sure your slice is below the lowest part of the indentation (middle of the book). Also it helps to freeze it before you slice it to get a nice neat torte. HTH
