Drop Flowers Using Tip 225

I was putting flowers on my cake using tip 225 and it seems like sometimes part of the flower does not want to release from the tip which messes up the look of the flower. Does anyone know what causes this to happen, and what I can do to prevent it? usaribbon.gif

your icing may be too stiff.....try adding a little piping gel to your icing making it smoother

or.......your tip might not be opened all the way...check the tip and make sure all of the openings are opened evenly

yes, water or milk would work just to thin it a bit........but the piping gel actually adds a smoothness to it!!! Kind of gives it a pretty sheen too which is nice for flowers
