It is listed under the recipes, and is the newest recipe on the front page of CC. I made some yesterday, and used it tonight. It was so easy to both make and use, and tastes great. Tons easier to work with than mmf...I'll NEVER go back to it now! Does anyone know how long I can keep this fondant though? I have about half of it left, and I don't need it soon, but don't want to throw it away either. It has milk and butter in it. Can I freeze it or keep it in the fridge? Will it be ok wrapped in plastic, then put in a freezer bag like mmf? If it will go bad soon, I'll use it on a dummy. Thanks!

I don't have an answer to your question, but I'm so glad you posted this. You've convinced me to give it a try! Thanksicon_smile.gif

It is wonderful! I'll never use mmf again, and this really isn't hard to make either! Only thing I may do different next time is add more vanilla. It isn't chewy either like mmf...almost melts in your mouth! Fabulous!

oooohh...that sounds wonderful. I've seen a lot of posts where some use MMF on cookies...would this fondant be appropriate on cookies?

Yes, it would work very well on cookies. Maybe that's what I'll do with my leftovers since no one knows the answer to my question!

when I make homemade fondant I have left it for 2 months, triple wrapped in saran and in a ziplock bag.. i havent looked at the recipe so I don't know the particular ingredients.

I'm the one that posted that recipe - I got it from Michele Foster(aka sugarflowers). I keep mine up to 2-3 weeks in the fridge, and several months in the freezer (I have actually kept it longer than that, and surely you could if you had a deep freezer!)!!

When it thaws I usually have to knead it a bit to get it back into shape - but no biggie!

wow...I think I will try it tonight too!!

Question: Does the covered cake need to be refrigerated with this fondant?

normally fondant covered cakes are not placed in the fridge to prevent condensation although some brands of fondant can stand it
